Imagine never throwing soft toss drills again.

The Pop Toss does all the work and does much more than a stationary batting tee or a soft-toss drill can do for a player’s swing as well as a coach’s evaluation.  Get a perfect toss every time and locate it in any part of the strike zone thrown from in front of the plate or from the side like a standard soft toss drill.  Use the Pop Toss like a spring loaded batting tee and pop the ball straight up to the hitter so you can clearly see what a players swing looks like when hitting a “moving” ball.  If you have 10 Pop Toss machines then 10 players can take soft toss by themselves which allows you to walk by all the players and evaluate then correct a stance or swing.

Pop Toss Inc. was started by baseball and softball coaches trying to find a way to make practices more fun for the players and at the same time providing a better way to practice hitting.  Our coaches found that throwing soft toss drills all day hurt their arms and made it hard to accurately evaluate a player’s swing from a crouched position.  Many coaches have players team up and throw each other soft toss which helps the coaches but the players aren’t getting consistent tosses to hit.  The coaches also found that when evaluating new talent it was hard to gauge a player’s swing by having them hit off a batting tee or watch them in the batting cage.  The batting cage is the closest thing to live pitching, however once a player gets the timing down it becomes easier to make contact regularly.  Batting tees and batting cages are great but have one major flaw, given enough time hitting from them a player can literally close their eyes and make contact with the ball.  The Poptoss eliminates these problems by having the ball pop at the player at different intervals and at different heights as well as using more or less spin on the ball to change the trajectory.

You can set up the Pop Toss to pitch to the inside or outside of the strike zone to combat problem areas.  The Pop Toss can also simulate Fastballs, Curveballs, Change-Ups, and Knuckleballs.  Anyone can hit pitches over the heart of the plate or off a stationary batting tee.  Great hitters are those who can locate and track a moving balls trajectory and hit inside or outside pitches, low and high in the strike zone.  The Pop Toss helps promote good habits in all hitters, young and old as well as improves Hand-Eye coordination and Bat Speed.  This machine will free up time in your otherwise chaotic practices as well as give the players something to do while others hit in the batting cage or do individual drills.

We at Pop Toss Inc. are tired of seeing young kids drop out of baseball and softball because the jump from Tee-Ball to live pitching is sometimes overwhelming.  The games are filled with walks and hit batters and the coaches sometimes have to step in and pitch.  The games are sometimes long and boring to all involved. Pop Toss Inc. is teaming up with local Park Districts to start Pop Toss Leagues to help transition younger players from Tee-Ball to Live Pitching and we’ve had a lot of good feedback from the Park Districts, coaches, parents and most of all the kids.

Pop Toss has 3 machines that are great for coaches to use in practice.  Click on one for a detailed description.
